Car battery testing & replacement in Pensacola & Pace
Dead battery at home or work? We come to the car, test it, and replace it on the spot.
A car that clicks, cranks slowly, or does nothing at all when you turn the key usually has a battery problem, but not always. Oilrun comes to your home or workplace in Pensacola or Pace, tests the battery and the charging system, and replaces the battery right there if that's what it needs. We're not a roadside service, so we work on vehicles parked at a home, an apartment, or a job site rather than on the side of the road.
Signs the battery is on its way out
- Slow, labored cranking, especially first thing in the morning.
- A single click or rapid clicking when you turn the key.
- Dim headlights or interior lights with the engine off.
- Dash warning lights that flicker, or a radio and clock that keep losing their settings.
- A battery that's more than a few years old. Florida heat is hard on batteries.
What we do on-site
We test the battery's state of charge and its ability to deliver cranking amps, then test the alternator output and check for a parasitic drain. That step matters: a new battery won't fix a weak alternator or a short that drains the car overnight. If the battery is the problem, we install the correct group size and terminal type for your vehicle, clean the cable ends, and secure the hold-down. On vehicles that need it, we register the new battery with the car's computer so the charging system treats it correctly. We take the old battery with us for recycling.
Pricing, fees, and warranty
You get a free written quote for your exact vehicle before we come out, and we get your OK before any work beyond it. If a diagnostic or trip fee applies, it's quoted upfront. Pay by credit, debit, tap to pay, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, or cash with no card fees. Our installation labor carries a 30-day limited warranty, and the battery itself carries the maker's warranty; we'll help you file a claim if you ever need to. See Our Limited Warranty for the full terms.

FAQ
Common questions
Is it the battery or the alternator?
A battery that dies overnight or after sitting is usually the battery. A car that starts with a jump but dies while driving, or shows a battery light while driving, points to the alternator. We test both before replacing anything.
Do you bring the battery with you?
Yes. Tell us your year, make, and model, or send a photo of the label on the current battery, and we'll bring the right one.
Can I supply my own battery?
Yes. Customer-supplied parts aren't covered by our warranty, and if a customer-supplied battery fails, labor to replace it is charged again.
