Steering & suspension repair in Pensacola & Pace

Struts, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and power steering, replaced in your driveway.

Clunks over bumps, a wandering steering wheel, and uneven tire wear all come from the same place: worn steering and suspension parts. Oilrun replaces them at your home or job in Pensacola or Pace, so you don't have to drive a car that handles badly to a shop.

What the symptoms usually mean

  • A clunk or knock over bumps or when turning: often a sway bar link, ball joint, or control arm bushing.
  • Bouncing after a bump, nose-dive when braking, or a harsh ride: worn struts or shocks.
  • Steering that feels loose, wanders, or doesn't return to center: tie rod ends or an intermediate shaft.
  • A whine when turning, or steering that's suddenly heavy: power steering pump or fluid.
  • Tires wearing on the inside or outside edge.

What we do on-site

We put hands on the parts, not just eyes. We check for play in each ball joint and tie rod end, look for torn boots and leaking struts, and pry on bushings to find the cracked one. Then we replace what's worn: complete strut assemblies, lower and upper control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, sway bar end links, CV axles, intermediate shafts, and power steering pumps. We use a torque wrench on every suspension fastener and tighten rubber bushings at ride height so they don't bind. We don't do alignments. After tie rods, control arms, or struts the front end needs one; we'll tell you if that applies so you can have it done at an alignment shop afterward.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need an alignment after this work?

After tie rods, control arms, or struts, yes. We don't do alignments, so you'd have that done at an alignment shop afterward. Sway bar links, shocks, and most power steering work don't change alignment. We'll tell you which applies to your job.

Can you do suspension work in a parking lot?

Yes, on a flat, level surface where repairs are allowed. We bring our own jack and jack stands.

Do you replace just one side?

Struts and shocks should be replaced in pairs so the car rides evenly. Control arms, tie rods, and links can be done one at a time if only one is worn.
