Radiator & coolant repair in Pensacola & Pace

Overheating, leaks, and coolant flushes, handled where the car is parked.

An overheating engine is the one problem that can turn a small repair into a very large one if you keep driving. Oilrun comes to your home or job in Pensacola or Pace, finds where the cooling system is failing, and repairs it on-site, which also means you're not nursing an overheating car across town to a shop.

Signs of a cooling system problem

  • A temperature gauge creeping above normal, or a coolant warning light.
  • A sweet smell after driving, or a puddle of green, orange, or pink fluid under the car.
  • Steam from under the hood.
  • A heater that blows cold when the engine is warm, often low coolant or a stuck thermostat.
  • Coolant that looks rusty, or has oil floating in it.

What we do on-site

We pressure-test the system to find leaks, check thermostat operation, the radiator fans, and the cap, and look at the coolant's condition. Repairs we do on-site include radiator replacement, thermostat and housing replacement, upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant outlets and control valves, water pumps, and fan assemblies. A coolant exchange (drain, flush, and refill with the correct coolant) is part of any radiator or water pump job and is also available on its own when the coolant is due. We use the specific coolant your vehicle calls for, since mixing types is a common cause of clogged passages, and we bleed the system properly so no air pocket is left to cause a false overheat.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I just add water and keep driving?

Never open the radiator cap on a hot engine. Let it cool first. In an emergency, topping off with water can get you home. Don't drive on it for long: plain water boils sooner and gives no corrosion protection. Call us and we'll come to where the car is parked.

Is it the thermostat or the radiator?

A thermostat stuck closed overheats quickly while the upper hose stays cool; a leaking radiator shows a drip or crusty residue on the fins. We confirm with a pressure test before quoting.

Do you do coolant flushes without a repair?

Yes. If your coolant is due by time or looks dirty, we can do a drain-and-fill or a full flush on its own.
